Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a reversible heat-sensitive recording material which prevents damage to surface and contamination with foreign matter from a head depite the repeated formation and erasing of images and which is free from interruption of the image continuity and improved in adaptability to printing,
CONSTITUTION: In a reversible heat-sensitive recording material provided with a resin base material formed on a support and a heat-sensitive layer which consists mainly of organic low-molecular substances dispersed in the resin base material and whose transparency is changeable reversibly depending upon temperature, a heat resisting resin intermediate layer consisting mainly of ultraviolet curable resin is formed on the aforesaid heat-sensitive layer and, on the intermediate layer, is formed a sliding protective layer consisting mainly of silicone modified polyurethane resin and polyisocyanate and/or the substance made hardenable by cross-linking with amino modified silicone oil and, as an alternative, a printing layer is formed on the heat-sensitive layer and, on the printing layer, the aforesaid protective layer is formed.
