To provide a ribbon winding shaft which prevents a used ribbon from winding down and enables a ribbon to be easily separated and discarded.
The ribbon winding shaft 30 includes one shaft member 31 which has: a first large-diameter part 33 that winds a one-side part 13a of the ribbon 13 conforming to the one-side part 13a of the ribbon 13; and a small-diameter part 34 that conforms to an another-side part 13b of the ribbon 13 and never comes in contact with the another-side part 13b of the ribbon 13. The ribbon winding shaft 30 includes another shaft member 32 which has a cylindrical second large-diameter part 35 that winds the another-side part 13b of the ribbon 13 conforming to the another-side part 13b of the ribbon 13. The second large-diameter part 35 of the another shaft member 32 fits in an outer peripheral surface 34a of the small-diameter part 34 of the one shaft member 31.
