PURPOSE: To make it difficult for dust and dropping water to enter the inside of a lid, by a method wherein a heat-exchanger and a fan are arranged in the lid of the title cooker, and a suction opening and an exhaust opening for the fan are provided on the side face of the lid.
CONSTITUTION: Steam generated at the time when rice is boiled passes a steam opening 28 through a small hole on an inner lid and enters a heat-exchanger 26 through an inlet part 26-a. At this time, the steam is cooled by the air sent from a fan 25, and is condensed and turned into water. The water flows into the steam hole 28 through an outlet part 26-b and a drain hose 29, and falls on the inner lid through the steam opening 28, following which it falls along the inner wall of a rice-cooking pot through a dropping hole on the inner lid. Since a suction opening 23 and an exhaust opening 24 are not provided at a level part, such as the top surface of a lid 22, dust and waterdrops are difficult to enter the inside of a lid 22. In addition, since the fan 25 is arranged on the heat-exchanger 26, it is apart from a lid bottom plate 27 and a motor is hardly influenced by the hot-air from the lid bottom plate 27. Furthermore, since the heat-exchanger 26 is obliquely placed, the water condensed is easy to flow to an outlet part 26-b.
