Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a rice cooker having a handle not becoming an obstacle when it is prostrated backward, capable of being mounted near the back face of the mount base of a kitchen, and having a neat and good external appearance.
CONSTITUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a main body 1, an inner pot 4 opened upward, and an openable cover 5 covering the upper face of the inner pot 4, and the main body 1 is carried with a handle 3. Both ends of the handle 3 curved along the main body shape on the rear side from handle hinge sections 2a are rotatably fitted to the handle hinge sections 2a located on the right and left of the upper section of the main body 1. When the handle 3 is prostrated to the rear of the main body 1, the handle 3 is held at the nearly horizontal state along the upper edge 1b of the main body 1 by a hook section provided behind the hinge cover of the cover 5.
