PURPOSE: To provide a rice transplanter designed so as not to externally project the operating lever on the front side of a seedling table when housing a seedling planting device dividedly with posture change.

CONSTITUTION: The outer end in the lateral direction of the divided parts of a seedling planting device is turned toward the front side of a traveling machine body 3 by the revolution of the divided parts around the longitudinal axial center and the displacement of the axial center position; concurrently, the divided parts are moved toward the center of the traveling machine body 3 along its lateral direction to get switchable to such a housing posture that the respective upper edges of divided seedling tables 13L, 13R come close to each other. The projecting direction of operating levers 23, 30 is set so that the tips of these levers disposed on the side opposite to the seedling table surface and to be operated around the sideway axial center turn the crosswise outer end of the seedling tables.
