Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring gauge for shell-shaped acicular roller bearings that can prevent occurrence of looseness when a shell-shaped acicular roller bearing is fitted to an actual installation object by reducing the deviation of the inscribed circle diameter of the shell-shaped acicular roller bearing when fitted to the actual installation object from the inscribed circle diameter of the shell-shaped acicular roller bearing measured with the ring gauge.SOLUTION: A ring gauge 31 is equipped with a cylindrically shaped measuring unit 32 having on its inner circumference a fitting surface 41a for fitting the outer circumferential face of the outer ring 21 of a shell-shaped acicular roller bearing 13, and a base part 33 arranged adjoining the measuring unit 32 in the axial direction and greater than the measuring unit 32 in outer diameter and weight. The measuring unit 32 has such rigidity in the diametric direction that the diameter expansion of the measuring unit 32 when the outer ring 21 into which a needle roller 22 is incorporated is fitted to the fitting surface 41a is equal to the diameter expansion of the installation object when the outer ring 21 is fitted to the actual installation object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
