PURPOSE: To put in a finishing agent, etc., just before final rinse even when the rinse is executed more than three times by executing control not to execute intermediate dehydration in the process of (N-M) times rinse excepting for the first rinsing process when centrifugal force is operated M times by the rotation of a washing and dehydrating tank and the rinsing process is executed N times.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of the first rinse, the muddy degree of liquid for prescribed time after the start of the rinse is measured by a transmissivity detector, which detects the transmissivity of light to the liquid in a water receiv ing tank, and the number of times for rinsing is determined. For example, when the third rinse is executed, the intermediate dehydration is executed be tween drainage and water supply in the normal rinse and the detergent included in laundry is excluded early. In this case, however, the intermediate dehydration in the second rinse is omitted so that the finishing agent can be put in the third rinse.
