Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road construction body with less consolidation settlement caused by dynamic load on the soft ground at a low construction cost within a short construction period of time.
SOLUTION: A road construction body is constituted of soil cement columnar bodies 1 for improving the deep ground and improved soil consolidated with grout for improving the shallow ground. The plane arrangement of the soil cement columnar bodies 1 is a grid arrangement or a non-contact zigzag arrangement, and a grid interval in the case of the grid arrangement and an interval between two soil cement columnar bodies 1 adjacent to each other in the case of the non-contact zigzag arrangement is less than two times of the height from the upper end of each of the soil cement columnar bodies 1 to a road paving surface, plane view improvement rate is 20-60%, and value of length of each of the soil cement columnar bodies 1 + thickness of shallow layer and improved soil (subgrade) + thickness of road pavement is more than 4 m.
