Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking system relating to a sun tracking calibration device, and in particular a photovoltage, a concentrating photovoltaic system and a concentrated solar power system that require constant repositioning to maintain alignment with the sun.SOLUTION: A robotic controller for autonomous calibration and inspection of surfaces of two or more solar parts includes a drive system for positioning the robotic controller near the surfaces of the solar parts such that onboard sensors may be utilized to gather information about the surfaces of the solar parts. An onboard communication unit relays information to a central processing network, and this processor combines new information with stored historical data to calibrate the surfaces of the solar parts and/or to determine their instantaneous health.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
