Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leading end part of a roll paper from being unnecessarily cut to avoid useless disposal of the roll paper, and to lower costs by prohibiting the roll paper from being loaded while an apparatus power supply is off.
SOLUTION: The roll paper loading mechanism has a near end sensor 13 for detecting a near end of the roll paper 11a let off from a roll 11, an auto loading mechanism for sending out the roll paper 11a, an insertion detecting sensor 12 for making the auto loading mechanism start an auto loading operation, a cutting mechanism for cutting a part near the leading end of the loaded roll paper 11a, and a roll paper insertion shutter 31 for blocking a travel route of the roll paper 11a when the power supply is off.
