Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide roll press equipment that measures thickness of a strip-like material by using a laser-type distance meter and that can more accurately measure the thickness of the strip-like material, and a thickness gage for use in the same.SOLUTION: Measurement heads 21d, 21c and 21w of a thickness gage using a laser-type distance meter travel in a width direction so that thickness measurement can be performed. An average value of a measured value of preset width smaller than width of a strip-like material 3 is set as a thickness-measured value of the strip-like material 3. Preferably, the plurality of measurement heads 21d, 21c and 21w are fixed to an integral traveling frame, and the integral frame 200 travels in the width direction so that the thickness measurement can be performed.
