Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the wear of the inner peripheral surface of a key groove, caused by a friction contact between the inner peripheral surface of the key groove formed in a shift drive member and the fitting part of the key fitting in the key groove, to reduce the stop time of cold rolling working for replacing the shift drive member, and to improve productivity.
CONSTITUTION: A covering layer 35 is formed by a material more liable to wear than a shift drive member 24 on the outer peripheral surface of the fitting part 29 of a key 28 fitting in the key groove 25 of the shift drive member 24. Also, first and second projecting parts 61 and 62 are formed by making both tip parts of a fitting part 29 project on both sides out of a mounting part 33. A reinforcement part 63 is formed, stretching to the first projecting part 61 which becomes on a first intermediate roll side. By making the frequency of replacements of the shift drive member 24 reduce or eliminate by the wear of the covering layer 35 side, by replacing an only key 28, and by shortening the stop time of a rolling line as much as possible, caused by this replacement work, productivity is improved.
