Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy consumption by efficiently cooling rolled stocks and rolls, and effectively recovering the heat held in cooling water to be recovered. SOLUTION: The cooling water after cooling the rolled stocks 1 and rolls 2 is recovered by using a cooled water recovering pool 19, after recovering the heat held in the cooling water by a heat recovering means 17, the water is cooled to room temp. by a recovered water cooling means 11 and the room- temp. water sent from the means 11 is entered into a coolin-water supplying means 12. In the cooling-water supplying means 12, the water is mixed with the freezing-point water from an ice reservoir means 13 to obtain low-temp. water (usually, <=10 deg.C) and is used for cooling the rolled stocks 1 and rolls 2. The heat recovered by the heat recovering means 17 is utilized in a power generating means 18.
