Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a speed change gear for adapting a high-speed rotating prime mover to load of comparative low-speed rotation in a high speed change ratio, which can reduce vibration and noise and eliminate the need of lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:A roller speed change gear comprises a sun roller 1 connected to a high-speed rotary shaft 6, a plurality of high speed planetary rollers 2' brought into contact with the sun roller, a ring 3 brought into contact with the sun roller, a ring 3 brought contact with the planetary rollers and secured to a casing 10, low-speed planetary rollers 2'' formed coaxially with the high speed planetary rollers 2' to be united in a body, and a ring roller 5 brought into contact with the low speed planetary rollers and connected to a low speed shaft 9. The high speed planetary rollers 2' and the low speed planetary rollers 2'' are fixed to the peripheral surface of a non-metallic elastic substance 15. The surface treatment for increasing frictional force is performed on each contact surface of the sun rollers 1, 4 and the fixed ring roller 5.
