To provide a rolling bearing device for a wheel capable of avoiding any abutment of a fastening tool on a round surface without increasing diameters of pitch circles of a plurality of bolt holes of a fixed flange or decreasing the radius of curvature of the round surface of a root of the fixed flange.
A fixed flange 60 is formed which has bolt holes 61 for passing bolts 70 for fixing a vehicle body side member 16. A round surface 63 is formed on one side surface 62 of the fixed flange 60 at a root. A projecting ring 65 having a bolt bearing surface 66 corresponding to a head 71 of the bolt is provided on a fore end face along the circumferential edge of each bolt hole 61. A male screw 72 of the bolt 70 is passed through the bolt hole 61 through the projecting ring 65, and fastened while the head 71 of the bolt 70 is fitted to a fastening tool 80. The height H of the bolt bearing surface 66 of the projecting ring 65 from one side surface 62 of the fixed flange 60 is set so that the fastening tool 80 is not abutted on the round surface 63.
