A pre-load applying member 10 provided in the rolling bearing device applies a constant pressure pre-load to the rolling bearing so that a value of a parameter (A), obtained by (A)=(pre-load axial load [N]-external axial load [N])/basic dynamic load rating [N], falls in a range of 0.01 to 0.10. This enables application of the constant pressure pre-load, which is hard to cause slippage with an inner ring 4 and an outer ring 5 and a rolling element 6. With such a configuration, even when an external load is loaded, the slippage with the inner ring 4 and the outer ring 5, and the rolling element 6 is hard to occur. Thereby, damage by seizure, and the like, due to the slippage of the inner ring 4 and the outer ring 5, and the rolling element 6, is prevented or suppressed, and the damage of flaking, and the like, due to the excessive load can be prevented or suppressed. Therefore, the rolling bearing device is long-life.
