To check whether a seal is radially positioned while clarifying the radial application range of an adhesive to the seal.
The rolling bearing 1 is configured so that the seal 8 is radially inserted and bonded to a seal groove 9 of a bearing ring 2 from a position radially facing the seal groove 9 with an adhesive 16 applied to one radial end portion 12 of the seal 8. The seal 8 includes a stepped portion 13 protruded from the one end portion 12 outwardly in the axial direction to contact an axial outer end portion 10 of the bearing ring 2 continued outwardly in the axial direction from the seal groove 9 with the one end portion 12 inserted to the seal groove 9 over the whole circumference, and a chamfered portion 19 is formed by cutting an axially outside angle of the stepped portion 13. Therefore, when the seal 8 is radially inserted to the seal groove 9 with the adhesive 16 being applied to the one end portion 12 and the stepped portion 13, the adhesive 16 protruded out between the stepped portion 13 and the axial outer end portion 10 is collected in the chamfered portion 19.
