Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a seal member to be firmly fixed to an outer ring, the seal member configured to close a lateral opening of a bearing space of a rolling bearing.SOLUTION: A rolling bearing unit includes: an outer ring 1 fixed into a housing 11; an inner ring 2 opposite to the outer ring 1; a toric seal member 40 covering a lateral opening D of a bearing space between the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2; an oil passage 12 for lubricant arranged along an axial direction between an inner diameter surface of the housing 11 and an outer diameter surface of the outer ring 1; and a connection piece 80 inserted into the oil passage 12 and fixing the seal member 40 to the outer ring 1. The seal member 40 comprises a toric connection body formed by connecting a plurality of split seal members 40' split along a circumferential direction with the connection pieces 80. The connection piece 80 and the split seal member 40' include folding prevention means of regulating bending of connection parts between the split seal members 40' adjacent in the circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
