To reduce the number of components and to make a device compact in a rolling bearing which allows axial relative movement to a shaft box.
The rolling bearing 1 includes rollers 5, arranged in an annular space between an outer member 3 and an inner member 4, and a retainer 6, which retains the rollers 5 along the circumferential direction in the annular space. The outer member 3 and the shaft box 2 are supported relatively movably in the axial direction. In the rolling bearing, flat surfaces 13, 12 facing each other are provided on the outside circumferential surface of the outer member 3 and the inside circumferential surface of the shaft box 2 respectively. Cylindrical rollers 10 are arranged between the flat surfaces 13, 12 facing each other, and the outer member 3 and the shaft box 2 are supported relatively movably in the axial direction by the cylindrical rollers 10. No conventional raceway plates are required because the cylindrical rollers 10 are arranged between the outside circumferential surface of the outer member 3 and the inside circumferential surface of the shaft box 2. Thereby, the number of parts of the rolling bearing 1 can be reduced and the device can be made compact.
