Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively prevent a solid lubricating later from being easily separated in a rolling bearing used for a vacuum equipment or the like.
SOLUTION: In the surface of a ball 3, a coating film 5 of silver of formed by ion playing as a solid lubricating layer. The ball 3 consists of steel including 0.73 to 1.25wt.% carbon, less than 0.40wt.% silicon, less than 0.50wt.% manganese, 1.30 to 4.50wt.% chrome and 0.5 to 8.0wt.% copper. Since the ball 3 includes copper of such range, adhesive strength of the coating film 5 of silver can be increased. A number of forming times of the coating film can be decreased smaller than in the past, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced. Further, film thickness is easily controlled so that accuracy can be improved.
