To provide a method for further improving measurement accuracy of a surface temperature without requiring such emissivity correction, which is a proper constant relating to the surface properties including unevenness or to the material quality of a material to be rolled, as a radiation thermometer requires, when conducting hot/warm rolling while passing a material to be rolled through a pair of upper and lower rolling rolls.
A hot/warm rolling mill includes the pair of upper and lower rolling rolls 3 capable of rolling a material W to be rolled, and a surface temperature sensor 9 for measuring the surface temperature of the material to be rolled. The surface temperature sensor is composed of a non-contact-type thermocouple, and the thermocouple is arranged as close as possible to the surface of the material to be rolled.
