Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a rolling roll for roll shift and roll shift rolling mill having a crown with which factors having an influence on rolling performance are corrected and which copes with all rolling conditions.
CONSTITUTION: When roll shift rolling is executed by use of a tapered roll shape 12 which is a shape for controlling sheet crown of a work roll and simultaneously roll deflection due to nominal rolling force that is one of defective rolling phenomena is compensated, the roll shape of rolling roll 10 for roll shift shown by the continuous line C is made by synthesizing the tapered roll shape 12 shown by the chain line A and the roll deflection compensating shape 17 shown by the broken line B. By taking this synthesized roll shape, roll shift rolling is executed in the state where the roll deflection 15 due to the nominal rolling force of defective rolling phenomenon is automatically compensated. In this way, by making the roll shape into the compensating shape in accordance with the defective rolling phenomena, the shape of the rolling roll which copes with all rolling conditions is obtained.
