To enable application of a rope mark for checking arrival of a car at a time of an emergency manual rescue operation of an elevator by remote control from a landing.

The landing 6 on a predetermined floor is provided with an access door 7 connecting to a hoistway 1, a coating injector 10 is installed in the hoistway 1 at the completion of the installation, and an injection button of the coating injector 10 and the landing 6 are interconnected by a wire 17 passed through a wire tube 16. After that, when the car is stopped in a door opening zone of the floor and a pull button 18 is pulled in the landing 6, the injection button of the coating injector 10 is operated, the coating 11 is injected, and a governor rope 5 is coated. This work is performed on every floor. The coating length of the governor rope 5 is set in consideration of a step allowing complete getting off of passengers. The work is performed from a visual observation from the access door 7.
