Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary compressor having improved compressor efficiency by inhibiting suction refrigerant and refrigerant gas being compressed from being heated by refrigerant gas passing through a refrigerant passage.SOLUTION: In the rotary compressor, distances between each of refrigerant passages 336S, 336T provided in first and second cylinders 121S, 121T and each of the outer peripheral faces of the first and second cylinders are shorter than distances between each of the refrigerant passages 336S, 336T provided in the first and second cylinders and each of the inner peripheral faces of the first and second cylinders. Refrigerant passages 336 provided in lower and upper end plates 160S, 160T include vertical holes 336A, 336B communicated with muffler chambers 180S, 180T, and lateral grooves 336C, 336D communicating the vertical holes 336A, 336B with the refrigerant passages 336S, 336T provided in the first and second cylinders 121S, 121T, respectively.
