Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary damper capable of rotating a rotor at a higher speed to open a communication passage, when the communication passage is opened by a valve element, thereby the rotor is rotated to open the same.SOLUTION: A first communication groove 7A is formed on an inner peripheral face of an accommodation hole of a casing 1. A second communication groove 7B is formed on an outer peripheral face of a piston 3. The first communication groove 7A and the second communication groove 7B are disposed on the same position in the circumferential direction of the accommodation hole so that the first communication groove 7A and the second communication groove 7B configure one communication hole 7 in the shape of one hole.
