Abstract:
To secure a long term soundness of a brush by reducing abrasion and deformation due to mechanical factors of the brush of an excitation type rotary electric machine based on power supply by a brush scheme.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine of the present invention comprises: a frame; first and second excitation type rotary electric machines installed in the frame and having different excitation currents; first and second brushes and slip-rings for supplying currents to the first and second excitation type rotary electric machines, respectively; a shaft that is fastened to a rotator of the first and second excitation type rotary electric machines and rotates with the rotator; and a bearing that rotatably supports the shaft. The first and second brushes are arranged between the bearing and the first excitation type rotary electric machine, and the brush of the first and second brushes that has a higher excitation current is arranged on the bearing side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
