To provide a small-sized and low-cost rotary electric machine that is excellent in heat dissipation and is capable of reducing assembly man-hours and connecting components.
A rotary electric machine includes: a front bracket 4 and a rear bracket 5 supporting a rotator 2 and a stator 3 of a motor; a heat sink 13 provided by fixing to the rear bracket outside the rear bracket; a resolver 6 provided between the heat sink 13 and the motor; a stator circuit section 14 and a magnetic-field circuit section 15 installed on the opposite surface of the heat sink 13 from the resolver 6; and a control board 16 supported by an insert case 19 attached to the heat sink 13 and electrically connected to the stator circuit section 14 and the magnetic-field circuit section 15. A resolver input/output terminal 6c is electrically connected to the control board 16 through an insertion hole 13b provided in the heat sink 13.
