Abstract:

To provide a rotary hearth furnace removing sintered matter formed on a rotary hearth and suppressing progression of sintering.

This rotary hearth furnace includes a discharge screw (6) for moving a raw material (M) on the rotary hearth (3) in the discharging direction by rotating motion, a stopper (11) for positioning the discharge screw to the rotary hearth so that a blade (6b) of the discharge screw is brought into contact with a surface of the rotary hearth, and supporting mechanisms (7, 9) for supporting the discharge screw in a state of pressing the discharge screw toward the rotary hearth. The supporting mechanisms presses the discharge screw toward the rotary hearth with force larger than pressing force by self-weight of the discharge screw.
