To provide a motor and a generator enhancing heat radiation, while attaining miniaturization of the motor.
The motor is made in a form of axially positioning in its both ends brackets 30, 40 to arrange in an inner side thereof a radial rib (protrusion 31), the motor is constituted to be assembled in such a manner that the rib 31 is arranged in between spaces of coil ends 14 adjacent to each other of a stator. By making the protrusion 31 serve as a refrigerant passage, a stator winding further improves the heat radiation, so as to provide the motor of high efficiency, miniaturization and light weight. An elastic body superior in thermal conductivity and insulation may be interposed in between the coil end 14 and the inner surface of the bracket.
