To provide a rotary wheel type continuous extruder and a method of manufacturing a metal extruded material, wherein the metal extruded product is manufactured stably over a long term without scratching component members of the device with burrs which flow out from the gap between a die and a feed plate, and disturbing the drive of the device by intrusion into the gap, and without taking the labor and time of a worker for deburring work.
The rotary wheel type continuous extruder 10 is provided with a base stock guiding passage 6 which is formed by covering a portion of a groove 2 provided on the outer peripheral surface of a rotary wheel 1 by each inner peripheral surface of a plurality of shoes 4 and feed plates 4a and a die 7 which is arranged by abutting on the outer surface of the feed plate 4a arranged at the downstream end of this base stock passage 6, wherein the die 7 is provided with a burr discharging projection 7a for changing the advancing direction of the burrs which flow out of the abutted surface on the side edge of the surface abutted on the feed plate 4a.
