Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transport device and a rotation transport method in which the direction of an article to be transported can be rotated to an arbitrary direction on the way of transport and the article can be transported while keeping the direction after rotation, and even an article to be transported having uneven thickness can be piled stably and quickly and can be transported as capable of being bound.SOLUTION: A rotation transport device 20 of the present invention includes transport rollers (first transport roller 28, second transport roller 34) each of which is arranged in line as a pair in the direction crossing the transport passage of mails 12 on the way of transport passage, and rotationally-contacts and transports the mails 12, and a control part 46 which implements temporarily rotation speed control in which the rotation speed of one side of the pair of rollers is made different from the rotation speed of the other side while the transport roller rotationally-contacts the mails. Rotation control of the mails 12 on the way of transport is made possible.
