To provide a rotor for a rotating electric machine capable of reducing the number of part items and processing man-hours for the rotor and an easy manufacturing method, thereby attaining cost reduction.
A field winding 3 in the rotor of a rotating electric machine is wound directly around a shaft 1 via an insulator 6, and a pawl-shaped magnetic pole 7 is tightened to the shaft 1. Preferably, one end of the pawl-shaped magnetic pole 7 is tightened to the shaft 1, and its front end is tightened to the shaft 1 with an insulating bolt 8 via an interval insulator 6a. The field winding 3 may be wound directly around the shaft 1 through the insulator 6, and the pawl-shaped magnetic pole 7 of the same polarity may be integrally formed to be fitted to the shaft 1.
