PURPOSE: To prevent defective insulation by filling a coil inserting groove and a coating a coil end section in a laminated core with a specific resin composition and curing the resin composition.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor 1 of a starting motor for an automobile has a shaft 2 supported in a motor bracket, and an armature core 3 and a commutator 4 are mounted on the shaft 2. A plurality of grooves 5 are formed on the surface of the outer circumference of the core 3, and coils 6 are inserted into the grooves 5. The end sections of the coils 6 are coated with a insulating resin material 7 and the coil inserting grooves 5 are filled with the same, and then the resin composition 7 is cured. The coils for the rotor are insulated and fixed by the composition 7. A resin composition containing the tetraglycidylether of tetraphenolethane, a novolac phenol resin and inorganic fillers, and being solid at a room temperature is used as the composition 7. The composition 7 is heated and melted, applied to the end sections and the grooves 5, and cured at a temperature of 200°C or more.
