Title:
ROTOR FOR SUPERCONDUCTING ELECTRIC ROTATING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0851764
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a liquid refrigerant from flowing into a current lead being connected with a superconducting coil due to rise of liquid level caused by decrease in r.p.m. of the rotor.

CONSTITUTION: A superconducting electric rotating machine comprises a low temperature rotor 1 having a central hole 3 for storing a liquid refrigerant 2 fixed to the shaft end part 8, a superconducting coil 4 wound around the low temperature rotor 1 1 and cooled by the liquid refrigerant 2, and a tubular current lead 10 provided from the shaft end part 8 through the central hole 3 in the low temperature rotor 1 while being connected electrically with the superconducting coil 4 and cooled by internally conducting a gaseous refrigerant produced through evaporation of the liquid refrigerant 2. The current lead 10 is provided with a tubular gas intake port and the projected part 16 is led out radially outward and extended oppositely to the rotational direction in the circumferential direction thus providing a gas coolant intake port having an arcuate part.
