To provide a rotor for a turbomachine capable of avoiding contact of an array of blades 13 of an impeller 4 with a casing wall 14 of the turbomachine when an overload is applied to thrust bearings 6 and 6' in regard to a rotor 1 for the turbomachine, which includes at least one shaft 2 and impellers 4 and 5 and in which the rotor 1 is guided by the thrust bearings 6 and 6'.
The rotor (1) is provided with at least one pushing flange-like part (10) and (10') as an additional guide element in the axial direction. Looseness (SK) and (SK') between pushing flange-like part surfaces (17) and (17') and stopper surfaces (11) and (11') of a gear (12) are larger than looseness (SL) and (SL') of the thrust bearings (6) and (6'). With this structure, in normal operation, guide in the axial direction is performed by the thrust bearing (6) and (6'). The pushing flange-like parts (10) and (10') do not relay guide in the axial direction until an overload is applied to the thrust bearings (6) and (6').
