Abstract:
To provide an end mill for rough cutting, excellent in strength of a cutting edge and weld resistance by specifying a base material and a coating suitable for cutting for a soft material such as steel, nonferrous metal, or the like.
In this end mill for cutting of high speed tool steel, high speed tool steel having a composition for satisfying the following expression 1 is used as a base material, the heat treatment hardness is set in the range of HRC 65 to 67.5, and a film containing Cr excellent in weld resistance is coated on a blade part.
