To provide a route search apparatus, a route search method, and a program in which a return route reaching the departure point where measurement is started can be searched with easy operation.
A route search apparatus includes: a measurement unit in which the traveling distance or the traveling time is measured; a positional information acquisition unit for acquiring positional information on the current place; a start point registration unit in which the positional information acquired by the positional information acquisition unit at the point when measurement is started by the measurement unit is registered as positional information on the start point; and a route search unit in which, when operation for returning to the start point is detected, with the current place at the point when the operation is detected as the destination, a return route having the start point as the destination is searched.
