Abstract:

To prevent sounds of an IP telephone from being lost due to the band limitation of a communication line while an IP telephone is used in a data communication apparatus such as router, etc. having an IP telephone function and a data communication function connected to an ADSL, etc., if a lot of download is made to a personal computer.

If the router automatically senses the loss of sounds or senses the loss of packets when an IP telephone is used, it minimizes the TCP/IP window size of a data communication to minimize packets incoming from a data communication party, thus controlling to prevent the loss of sound packets by the IP telephone.
