Abstract:
To provide a rubber composition capable of forming a conductive elastic layer which has the ozone resistance required for a conductive roller used in an electrophotographic device and does not cause contamination even when in direct contact with a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition which is used for forming a conductive elastic layer of a conductive roller and comprises a rubber component, carbon black and a vulcanizing agent, wherein the rubber component contains a styrene butadiene rubber, an ethylene-α-olefin-diene rubber and a liquid polyisoprene, the content ratio of the liquid polyisoprene in 100 mass% of the rubber component is 5 to 15 mass%, the mass ratio (styrene butadiene rubber/ethylene-α-olefin-diene rubber) in the rubber component is 1.0 to 4.0, the content of the carbon black is 20 to 55 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mas of the rubber component and the vulcanizing agent contains a sulfur-based vulcanizing agent and an organic peroxide-based vulcanizing agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
