Abstract:

To provide a rubber composition capable of improving a wear resistance, on-ice performance and driving stability on a dry road surface in a balanced manner, and to provide a winter tire using the composition.

The rubber composition includes a conjugated diene-based copolymer which has a structural unit based on a conjugated diene and the structural unit having an Si-functional group and in which at least one end of the polymer is modified by a compound represented by formula (II), and an isoprene-based rubber. In the formula, n is an integer of 1 to 10; R³ is hydrogen, 1-6C hydrocarbyl group or 1-6C substituted hydrocarbyl group; A¹ is oxygen or -NR⁴- (R⁴ is hydrogen or 1-10C hydrocarbyl group); and A² is nitrogen and/or a functional group having an oxygen atom.
