Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incline the piles of a warp pile woven fabric for a rubbing material evenly and uniformly in the length direction (W) of a weft in the weaving process without depending upon aftertreatment with a resin or heat.
SOLUTION: The weaving texture of the base fabric of a warp pile woven fabric for a rubbing material is made into two horizontal ribs (2/2 horizontal ribs), a pile yarn is arranged between two warps 11 and 12 of each set forming a set in a paralleled state and cut piles 14 of loose piles latched by wefts 13 which the two warps 11 and 12 forming the set in a paralleled state interlace and go over are formed. The fineness (thickness) of one warp 12 of two warps of each set constituting the set in a paralleled state is made larger (thicker) than the fineness (thickness) of the other one warp 11, the thin warps 11 and the thick warps 12 are alternately arranged in the base fabric. In this way, the piles 14 are evenly and uniformly inclined in the length direction (W) of wefts according to difference in thickness between the thick warps 12 and the thin warps 11.
