Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a WC-based cemented carbide member having high toughness, break-off resistance and further, high hardness, wear resistance.
SOLUTION: The WC-based cemented carbide has a bonding phase mainly containing Co, a carbide phase mainly containing WC and a complicated carbide phase (VxWyCrz)C containing V, W and Cr. Metal components in this complicated carbide phase, are composed by wt.% of 47≤x≤70, 20≤y≤52, 1≤z≤30 and x+y+z=100. This complicated carbide phase is adjoined with the carbide phase or the bonding phase and the carbide phase and is replaced with a part of this bonding phase existing in the interval of the carbide phase, and exists with the formation so as to fill the gap between the carbide phases, and this average grain diameter is ≤0.8μm and this area ratio M(%) is 0<M<0.5 in this WC-based cemented carbide.
