An acceleration sensor 11 and a data collection recording device 12 are removably installed in a car 3. The data collection recording device 12 compares the acceleration data of the acceleration sensor 11 with a predetermined threshold value, determines to be abnormal state by a data determination means 12b when the acceleration data exceeds a threshold and transmits the determination result to a data collection processing means 12e. The data collection processing means 12e takes the data and time data output from the digital data representing the acceleration in the abnormal state and a clock function 12c on receiving the abnormality determination result, and records the same in a data recording and saving means 12d during a predetermined time to create time history of the abnormality data. In the time history of the abnormality data, data for a predetermined time before and after the time and date of abnormality as the boundary are taken and recorded, and when the acceleration data is below the threshold, data recording is stopped in the lapse of the predetermined time, whereby the reduction of data recording capacity can be implemented.
