To provide a rust-proof metal product which does not contain an environmentally harmful substance and has a rust-proof layer effecting enough corrosion resistance by its thin coat.

In the rust-proof metal product in which the rust-proof coat containing an aqueous resin and solid lubricant particles A (diameter D μm) as main components is formed on the metal surface, (1) the solid contents of the resin and the lubricant particles are 80-99.5 mass % and 20-0.5 mass % respectively in the total solid content of the resin and the lubricant particles A, and (2) the diameter DA (μm) of the particles A in relation to the thickness T (μm) of the rust-proof coat is 0.02×T≤DA≤0.6 μm for T of 0.6 μm or above and 0.02×T≤DA≤T. for T below 0.6 μm.
