Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the silane with high commercial efficiency in high yield by bringing a mixture of trichlorosilane and olefinic nitrile into contact with a ruthenium compound catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula II is obtained by bringing a mixture of (A) trichlorosilane and (B) olefinic nitrile of formula I (Y is H or 1-8C alkyl) into contact with an effective concentration of (C) ruthenium compound catalyst at 50 to 300°C. The compound A and the compound B are put in to a reactor preferably in a molar ratio of 0.9:1 to 100:1. Further the compound C is preferably selected from ruthenium compounds having at least one tertiary phosphine ligand.
