Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a cycle threshold for a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification curve.SOLUTION: The method includes: receiving a data set for a plurality of biological samples for a PCR amplification reaction 10; fitting each amplification curve to a complementary modeled amplification curve to determine a best-fit set of parameters for a modeled efficiency curve and an associated amplification curve 20; and determining a cycle threshold value for each biological sample on the basis of a complementary relationship of the modeled efficiency curve to the modeled amplification curve 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
