To provide a support structure for a fuel pump which can dispense with a special pump protection cover and enables a pump stay to be made compact and light in weight.
A lower frame 14L is bent to pass from the front of and under an engine 15. When a fuel pump 30 is mounted on the bent area through a pump stay 40, the fuel pump 30 is upwardly and obliquely arranged and a fuel inlet 35 is located above the pump. The fuel pump 30 is protected by an engine guard 16. The fuel pump can be moved closer to the lower frame, thereby enabling the pump stay to be made compact. Further, since the fuel pump is protected by the engine guard, the pump stay needs not to act as a protection member, thereby also enabling the pump stay to be made compact and light in weight.
