Title:
SAFETY AIRCRAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3522371
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a forced landing at emergency time, and avoid damage of an airframe by providing an auxiliary engine whose thrust shaft can be varied over an almost horizontal and vertical range and a gas bag contractedly arranged in the right place under the airframe so that a landing shock of the airframe can be relieved by rapidly expanding it at necessary time of emergency landing time.
CONSTITUTION: At ordinary flight time, an auxiliary engine 5 is turned in parallel to an axis, and participates in flight thrust by forward thrust. When an emergency such as a forced landing is compelled is caused by uncontrollability in the air, failure of a main engine 4 or the like at flight time or just before a landing, just after a takeoff or the like, a pilot performs emergency operation for a forced landing, and turnes the auxiliary engine 5 upward. Descending speed of an airframe or sinking speed is sufficiently reduced, and the airframe is landed on a flat place to the best of his ability. In that case, since an air bag 6 is already expanded by interlocking with upward operation of the auxiliary engine 5 or by selective operation of the pilot, the airframe makes the so- called soft landing.
