Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve safety in operation by driving rolling rolls with a driving motor only when a guard member installed on the inlet side of the rolling rolls in a closed state.
CONSTITUTION: A guard member 21 is installed on the inlet side of rolling rolls 4 and 5. When a sensing means 26 for sensing opening and closing thereof senses an opened state of the guard member 21, supply of electric power to an electrically-operated motor 14 for driving the rolling rolls is cut off. When a closed state of the guard member 21 is sensed with the sensing means, the supply of the electric power to the electrically-operated motor 14 is permitted.
