Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a chopper folding machine for decreasing signatures to be fed from a folding body part to a chopper device when the operation of the machine is emergency-stopped by a paper jam signal, preventing damage of the machine, facilitating removing work of jammed paper, and enabling restarting of the operation in a short time.
SOLUTION: A safety device 10 of a chopper folding machine is provided between a chopper device 55 and a folding body part, and a stopper member 11 for shutting off conveyance of signatures 100 from the folding body part side to the chopper device 55 by a paper jam signal from a detecting means 31 is provided. Since the signatures 100 to be fed from the folding body part side are shut off after emergency stop of a machine, the machine including a chopper blade 59 can be prevented from being damaged, removing work of jammed paper is facilitated, and restarting of the operation is made possible in a short time.
